What Are Connection Groups?
Connection opportunities provide a way to get to know our Central church family in an informal setting. If you’re new to the Brantford area, new to church in general, or just curious about what goes on at Central, come get to know us in one of these relaxed get-togethers. Some of the more regular opportunities are listed below, but keep an eye on our events calendar to join us for things like church picnics, Christmas parties, and kids’ events.
Adults
Central Knitting Club
Day of the week: Wednesday
Where: The Café & Chapel (at Central Baptist)
Time: 10:00 – 12:00 PM

Details: Blind and Partially Sighted Adult Knitters, beginner to advanced
Each Wednesday, 10:00 am to noon, we meet in the Chapel / Cafe to knit. A coffee break to study God’s Word is included. Our purpose is found in Colossians 2:2 “…that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both the Father and of Christ.” And, our theme verse is 2 Peter 3:18 “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” Some of our work is donated to the Church for distribution to local outreach groups. Sighted volunteers assist as required. Donations of yarn and other knitting supplies are greatly appreciated which may be dropped off year round at the church office.
Central Crafting Group
Day of the week: Every other Tuesday
Where: Parlour 2
Time: 7:00 – 8:30 PM

Details: Drop-in group every other week where ladies will learn about Jesus & do some crafts. Bring your own supplies. Workshops happen occasionally.
Men’s Drop In Coffee Time
Day of the week: Monday
When: Weekly from 10:00 am to 11:30 am(paused until the New Year)
Where: The Café (at Central Baptist)
Time: 10:00 – 11:30 AM

Coffee in Café
Day of the week: Sundays

Time: 10:00 AM & Post-Service
