Central Baptist Church is an awesome church family
who holds fast to the teachings of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
We strive to worship, grow and serve.
We are dedicated to serving others in Jesus' Name
through our summer Central Soccer Ministry, Vacation Bible School,
Mom2Mom gatherings, Community Outreach Dinners,
Seniors' MAJORS 55+, Youth Growth Groups,
Family Nights, and Small Group Bible Studies.
At Central we seek to honour Christ in our worship,
encourage one another in our daily lives,
train believers in God’s Word,
and reach out to a hurting world.
Central is blessed to have three pastors to teach us and lead us in Biblical truths.
Pastors Steve Todd, Alan Rietberg, & Jeremy Heikkinen
Pastor Steve and his wife, Marlene, were married in 1985 and have two wonderful children. Melissa and David. David is married to Kyla and they have a daughter, Olivia. Pastor Steve was born in Belfast, lived in Kitchener, graduated from London Bible College, and earned his Doctor of Ministry from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. Over the years Pastor Steve and Marlene have served together at Wortley Baptist Church in London, Gladstone Baptist Church, Harrow Baptist Church and now Central Baptist Church Brantford. We are thankful to God for both Pastor Steve and Marlene who love us all so much. Pastor Steve's spiritual gifts of teaching and preaching have made an impact upon our lives. His messages on Sundays always bring sound biblical teachings directly from the Word of God. You will be drawn deeper into Scripture as Pastor Steve leads you through the books of the Bible. Presently we are learning a great deal about ISAIAH, the first of the major prophets. Join us in worship and a deeper understanding of God's Word.
*Pastor Stephen Todd's final Sunday is Nov. 24th. We have been very blessed having this preacher, teacher and shepherd among us these past 6 years. God bless you and Marlene as you follow the Lord's Will for your lives.
Pastor Alan and his wife, Helen were married in 1974 and have two adult sons, Josh and Jon, and are blessed with 4 grandchildren. Pastor Alan graduated from Radio Broadcasting and Central Baptist Seminary in Toronto. After returning from a missions trip with Sudan Interior Mission, Pastor Alan served as Youth Pastor at Temple Baptist Church in Cambridge, Senior Pastor at Shenstone Baptist Church in Brantford and now is a vital part of our Pastoral Team at Central Baptist Church Brantford. Pastor Alan and Helen minister to the seniors through MAJORS, an opportunity for seniors to come and socialize, to hear a speaker and enjoy a catered luncheon together. Pastor Alan visits and prays with the sick in hospital and the shut-ins in their homes and seniors residences. Pastor Alan is also a great communicator of all the events and activities around Central. At heart, Pastor Alan is an evangelist who dedicates his life to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Jeremy and his wife, Jessi, were married in 2009 and are blessed by God with three children, Emmalee, Luke and Oliver. Pastor Jeremy earned a B.A. in Biblical Studies having attended the Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake NY, Jerusalem University in Israel, and Cairn University in Philadelphia. In addition, Pastor Jeremy is a certified Biblical Counselor with the Association of Biblical Counselors. He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Biblical Counseling through Faith Seminary in Indiana. Central is richly blessed to have Pastor Jeremy and his wife, Jessi, ministering among us in counseling, and serving our children, youth, and young families towards a life based on scripture. You will find them both actively involved in Youth Growth Groups, Friday Night Hang Time, and at THE HIVE. Pastor Jeremy also loves riding motorcycles, playing music, working out, coaching basketball, or having a good cup of coffee! Feel free to join him for a ride or cup of Starbucks.
